On one hand, it seems the only way to insert an image as an icon is to crop it. Is that right? If so, what is the recommended size for an image icon? Secondly, upon cropping an image, it did not actually appear on my blog as an icon. Any ideas? Thanks,

Im totally new to the blog world, so im ambling through the best i can. I did manage to get a youtube vid up on a post that was a big step!! The blog is fairly specialist, not sure there is one quite like it in terms of the restoration posts, especially once i get more of my timelapse vids up. excuse my bloging experience is pretty fresh ive ambled through so far but something that is puzzling me is this... When i post a new 'post' and this is published on facebook, when the person comes to my blog through this link why don't they have a older / newer posts button at the bottom of the post. Is this something I have to add in like a widget? I looked down all the menu's but couldnt see anything. When i click on the general header of the page I get to go to a nice stream starting with the most recent posts with a 'previous posts' at the very bottom. Why is this not on the single posts? Im not sure its obvious to people how to find the other posts, with out knowing to click the header.
Hope you understand my question, i tend to over complicate things...
Any help appreciated.

Is it because my real url is thekatspjs.wordpress.com and not http://thekatspjs.com or ? I see the metatag seems to be in my home page, yet if I go to GOogle Webmaster Tools, it says my site is not verified. It has been weeks and I am thinking of trashing wordpress site altogether, because seems impossible.

I am using the Chateau theme, and I have created a Featured Post (by enabling it as sticky). While the featured post displays properly, the post before that disappears. On my site, compare recent posts with the front page and notice that the article immediately following the featured post is missing. Anything I can do to fix this?
